  • Attire: Long pants and a hard-soled shoe with a heel are required for horseback riding lessons. Although riding boots and breeches are not required, they are recommended.

  • Helmets: All students must wear a certified ASTM-SEI approved riding helmet while riding. Flintrock Stables has many helmets of various sizes for riders to choose from.

  • Lesson Cancellations: All lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours in order to receive a full refund. No shows or late cancellations will be charged full price.

  • Location: Flintrock Stables lessons are operated out of the large stable, not the stone barn, so when arriving for a lesson, please enter through the front entrance and proceed through the large swinging doors into the stables.

  • Grooming: Lessons include time before lessons to groom/tack-up and time after lessons to un-tack/groom horses to install quality on-the-ground horsemanship and horse care in each rider.

  • Payment: Flintrock Stables accepts checks or cash for lessons. Checks should be made payable to Flintrock Stables and paid directly prior to each lesson. A $25 late fee applies to all returned checks.
